As you have read my earlier posts, i've tried planting coffee using a processed coffee beans. Some would already know that it would not and was so againts with what i wanted to do. But i still tried it out for experiment purposes.
So to plant the seed, you need to soak the seed in an inch of water for 12 to 24 hours. Some uses a petry dish with cotton laid below and above the seed. You actually need a handful of it because the probablity of all the seed will grow is 4 is to 10. I only have ONE seed, i'm a one shot sniper.haha!
After some time you'll notice the embryo begin to emerge. Next you will have to transfer it in a deep pot, covering the seeds with about 1 1/2 inch of soil. It'll take about 2 months to see the first sign of growth. Now my question is, do you need to water the seed during the first 2 months? I'm still researching on it.
In Singapore, it is hard to get coffee plants producing cherries and we don't have farms coffee farms here. Places that i know that has the plant are, Suhaimie's house, outside CuppaChoice Cafe, Prime society at Siglap, Bon Cafe factory at Pandan Loop, some say at Pulau Ubin and somewhere around Tampinese
