Been hibernating?

Been so so long that I've lay a hand on coffee roasting and things involve with it. I have been in hiatus for a while now. Been dealing with different f&b places to understand the different concepts reality has. Been working at Jimmy Monkey Cafe & Bar lately, and now at Kith cafe located at Park Mall. Did a job at a bar recently. All this done to equip myself with the necessary skills when i ORD.

Is illy considered specialty?

Is illy considered specialty or? What if the Barista that makes up a cafe serving illy's beans are the people who used to be in the specialty scene. Slowly, day by day, i was able to extract the flavour notes of the medium-roasted Italian beans. Moral of the story do not assume "Italians = over-roasted beans"

Major financial crisis right now. Coffee itself ain't enough to keep the distraction. I need a part time job, i want to earn it myself. Got a second hand laptop and now fixing the mess to get back on track.

Epilogue

A cafe in a bookstore located at Ion. Had a short chat with a friend about coffee blends and single origins. Suddenly felt that passion again just by sharing the facts about coffee.

The Baristas are very friendly and recommended me things throughout my order.
