Not really, this were just their latte art practice and coffee bean calibration. Don't worry, no cows were harmed.
Frankly, illy's coffee is alright even though there's no significant flavour( other than smoky and hints of
cocoa). Stronger coffee lover would
love this 7 bean blend.
Singapore's coffee roasters are picking up and getting better at roasting (For your information). maybe one fine day our beans
could shipped to Europe. From
what I know, some cafes in Kuala Lumpur ate using Oriole's Roaster beans. And recently Alvaro and Suhaimie went KL.To penetrate into Malaysia market?
Anyways, you should try illy beans for
yourself to believe it. I wonder how a fresher batch of illy beans will turn out to be?

Force to drink??
Today at Kith Cafe
It's always non-stop steaming and brewing here at Kith on weekends. It's definitely a good warm up before i get back into coffee scene full time. There have been alot of movements in the industry and Barista's having better career advanvemet. Rafi is at a cafe Commune. Jamal is in National Service and Jalal recently started at Kith Cafe park mall. I hope he will settle down here.

Espresso Lab Singapore
Arfian the Head Barista. I had a gilbratar latte, espresso and a cappuccino. All the beverages are double ristretto. Two independent machines. One for strictly espresso and one for any other beverages. A very traditional home concept with kitchen cabinets and antique chairs. Find them along Bali Lane!

Cappuccino vs Flat white
This ain't a cappuccino..it's a flat white. Often reason that will be given is, the surface area of this cup is wider hence that 1/3 foam spread evenly." if you transfer it into a tulip cup, it'll be proportionate".
Long and Black..
Three different cups. Cheng Mai, Thailand. Costa Rica COE and Rodyk blend. Comparing the three cups I had over the few weeks. The most pronounced notes were a cup of Costa Rica COE ( perhaps that's why its a Cup of Excellence) i had a few weeks back; tanginess in a way i like, light bodied and clear taste of the notes as a long black.
That coffee interest suddenly coming back. In my mind right now, deciding to go Nylon Coffee Roasters or meet up with Ryan at Strangers Reunion. At the same time considering the tight budget I have. I'm saving up to join SCAE member and to take up the Barista trainings. And....definitely making a comeback for next years Singapore National Barista Championship main and latte art competition. Greedy you may say..? But I've waited 2 years for this moment. Any sponsours....?
