My first cup of coffee in 2012, Honduras Granadilla, COE #32. Almond and cherries with slight cocoish from the aeropress i used. Ration 1:15.17grams and low temperature water of 87deg. Brew time of 1min 30 sec. Agitated for 10secs. Recomended by Andrew Hoi.
Besides coffee, my new year resolution is to lose all the pounds i gain within the last 6 months. On a brighter side, 10 months to freedom.
Cheers evryone, have a good holiday.

Happy New year everyone!
Basic brewing guide
Hey, it's going to be a new year in half an hour time.i would like to take the opportunity to all that have been involved in my 2011 journey.
I'm on the way to do a simple pourover, chemex and aeropress guides.
Yes, I am focusing on these three apparatus for the whole of 2012. Oh yea.. Not forgetting the Espressos.
The brewing guide will be in the page tabs of my blog. Tentitively will be ready by mid January 2012.

The last weeks of 2011
The last weeks of 2011 had been a blast. I invested in a lot of new brewing apparatus, a new ceramic V01 hario dripper and an Aeropress bought at Papa Palheta. A 6-cup Chemex brewer bought at Toby's estate Asia. Filters bought at Jewel Coffee. It's a different shape there then the semi-circle ones at Toby's estate. I wonder why, new production and old ones? Maybe....
Andew Hoi passed some beans from Square Mile Coffee Roaster, Honduras Granadilla.(Cup Of Exellence award #32) He shared his recipe to a good Aeropress brew and I did it today. Forgotten to ask if he used a finer or a coarser setting. But gotten a good brew though using a number 4 Ditting grind size.
Bought a freshly roasted Tanzania Blackburn Estate roasted on 29th Dec from Papa Palheta.I have not cut open the bag to unleash the "beast". Planning to do so on this upcoming Monday.
From my previous post I mention i got back into home roasting again and it has been a fun time. But made up my mind that I'm not going to pursue into the coffee roasting scenes yet. I'm interested in managing a cafe. And lastly I can't wait for NS (10 months from now) to be over and compete in Singapore National Barista Championship 2013. I've started sourcing the right beans, the right roaster and will get hold of it if i found the right ones. It's going to be different because, I'll be representing Home Baristas and showcase what we do.
Tomorrow, I'll be heading over to another home roaster/Barista to do a coffee jamming session. Oh yeah! Bringing over Sumatra beans to roast.
